The proprietary pathogen detection system was tested on corn and tomato crops in Spain and Portugal. The goal was to analyze the occurrence of Fusarium spp and Botrytis cinerea as part of the TestFarms project organized by the European Institute of Technology in cooperation with TEPRO, the crop manager where the pilot analyses took place.
Courtesy of Ignácio Arrobas (TEPRO), we were able to learn more about local problems caused by common crop pathogens.
The visit was marked by an overview of cultivated fields, sampling for research, testing of the Terralizer, consultations, and meeting and discussing the results of tests based on Terrabio technology.
The technology and the results obtained were of great interest to TEPRO representatives. The scope of activities for further cooperation in the project was defined and the areas of agricultural production where the system will find the best application were selected.
